Power plant engineering
Power plant engineering is applied within the field of energy conversion, electricity generation and energy transfer. Depending on the type of plant, there is a more or less clear distinction between the technologies used (e.g. turbine - generator in thermal power plants).
Energy conversion in power plants that use mechanical, thermal, chemical or electrical transformation processes to produce electricity for use by industrial consumers or households is another resource-saving form of energy recycling.
