Kirn. SIMONA AG is refurbishing its administrative building at its headquarters in Kirn, Germany, in terms of energy efficiency and structural engineering.

The project is being funded by the European Union – through the European Regional Development Fund – and the State of Rhineland-Palatinate. The measures include in particular the creation of modern and flexible room structures, the replacement of the heating system with a more environmentally friendly air-to-water heat pump, new insulation and the use of floor-to-ceiling windows.

The company expects the overall measure to result in annual CO2 savings of more than 130 tons.
